Cala Blava is a small area in the southeast of the island, 10km east of the capital, Palma. It offers a relaxed,
peaceful escape from Majorca's hectic tourist spots and a great location for exploring some of the island's inland
villages.
Beaches
There is a local bus which runs along to Arenal and the wonderful long golden stretch of sand called Playa de Palma,
where there are watersports and pedaloes for hire.
Shopping
The nearby Playa de Palma has a market on Tuesdays and Fridays and further shops, bars and restaurants are scattered
along the length of the beach road. Palma also offers serious shopping with everything from big-name fashion to local
leather goods.
Nightlife
Nightlife is hotel based. However, the wonderful promenade along Playa de Palma gives you a choice of an evening
stroll under a star-filled sky or, if you are in the mood for something more vibrant, try one of the bars or clubs.
